Well I have been working with different colour brands and different developer brands for years, and although the manufactures would like us all to use their colours with their developers. However too expensive that way, lol, so you can use any developer with any colour brand, just the ratio you need to be careful with, for Demi colours (quasi we call them in the UK) mixing ratio is 1:2 using 4 vol developer. You can just use your 20 vol you already have just lower the vol using water. 1 part developer 3 parts water to give you a 5 vol (with your 20 vol developer)

Does anyone know if you must use Color Charm Activating Lotion with Wella Color Charm Demi?
I have the 20 vol Developer & many other brands and can lower the volume. I just can't remember what the volume of that is ?? & am unable to find it at the minute.
