I guess they did--the Spice girls were in their heyday (unfortunately!). Anyway, I never liked Posh and her style choices so I'm happy to give the credit to Claire.

Lovebobs, thank you!  I had the same thought very recently. Claire Danes DOES look awesome with this cut.  Wow, 1996.  Did anyone even know who Posh Spice was back then?

it makes me a little angry everytime i hear "Pob" because Victoria Beckham's stylist in no way invented this cut!!
my wife had gotten the same cut in 2004  (using a picture of Claire Danes)and it was just called an angled bob or stacked bob.
now if you say it took a celebrity to put it on the map.
here is my answer:
lets give the credit to the cute Claire Danes who had gotten her locks snipped into this style back in 1996 (yes, that long ago)
from now on i am calling it the Clob   lol!!!
