sorry   I hate be the bearer of bad news. But if your hair is breaking below your new growth and where the bond was attached, something was wrong wrong when you first got them. Your hair may have been too fragile for the weight of the fusion bond because of being too fine or over processed or too much heat was used to attach the bond and it burned your hair (which broke off after the bond came off). It's also possible they were removed improperly. Acetone and alcohol are the two types of removers for most bonds. They can be combined with orange oil to be less harsh but oil alone won't remove them quickly.

If you had your extensions professionaly done you need to talk to your stylist as well as the salon owner immediately (your credit card company too). It is unacceptable (in my opinion) for an experienced stylist to damage a clients hair. If you took proper care of your extension you shouldn't be having Any breakage. And if your hair was in a condition that it couldn't take the bond then they shouldn't have been put in in the first place. I know fusion can cost as much as $2500 and if my hair was breaking I would be having a lot to say about it.

I hope it was only a small spot and overall your hair is ok. I know how hard it is for that kind of thing to happen - I've had similar experience. Just remember you still have new growth that is healthy AND if you decide to find a good extensionist you have enough growth  for them to be reattached.

Best of luck.

Kimberly

when a bond is taken out right at the area of the bond. I had 1 1/2 inches of new growth below the bond and about 5 inches of hair after the bond.  It seemed fine when it was taken out by the salon but then noticed a couple days later that whole row I had taken out (was having a hard time covering them) is now 1 1/2 inches only.

Is this going to happen to my whole head?   I have very fine hair and it does break easy no matter how much product and conditioning I use it has never grown well.  I was hoping at least with the extensions I would be able to cut down ont he styling tools and let it take a well deserved break.

thoughts????
