I have an idea, you could get your new hairdresser to do a strand test.

That's what I always do. it just means cutting a strand of hair (you won't see on your head where it's been cut from) and then mixing up some colour in a bowl and literally applying the colour to the hair and leaving it 20-30 mins to process and then you will see exactly the result it will be. That way you could do as many tests as you wanted without committing to one before you are sure, and I think it also gives both you and your hairdresser confidence of the result.

Unfortunately I don't live nearby, I am based in the North-West.

There may be salons in or around London that use the Biosilk colours, but I'm not too sure which, but keep your eye out in the future for salons that do use Biosilk products, they are great!

That's exactly what I said!  But their argument was that I was going elsewhere.  Ridiculous!

I live in North London, but right on the Hertfordshire boarder. (j25 of the M25).

I've found a hairdresser who I went to a few months ago and they tried to guess the colours from looking at my hair, but it wasn't quite right.  So they asked me to speak to my old salon.

Thanks for your help!

P.s I also think it's silly fro your hairdresser to not have told you what she uses on your hair.
Surely, you could ask to see your client record card? - being as though it holds information about yourself.

I don't have any idea about this make of colour, sorry. BUT I do however, being a hairdresser myself, use an American make called Biosilk, ammonia-free colours. You can achieve many, many tones and shades on the hair, and the result is more gentle and less damaging to the hair than bleach.
I also live in the UK, where about in the UK do you live? I have a mobile service, so depending on where you live I could come out to you. If not I can recommend salons which also use this brand, although there aren't that many in this country, unfortunately.
Let me know :)

A little help please?!

I'm moving house and so need to change hair dressers as I'll be too far away from my current hairdresser.  So I asked my hairdresser for the colours that she uses on me and they refused to tell me!!

I managed to get out of one of the juniors that they used Majirel and Majimeche (2 volumes) on me, but she wouldn't tell me the numbers that they used.

Can anyone advise me as to what numbers I need??

I have light blonde hair from where it has been highlighted before, and my nautal hair colour is dark blonde / very light brown.

I have 3 colours for my highlights, one cool blonde, one warm blonde and one dark blond close to my natural colour.  Though steer clear of any orangey / brassy / ginger shades!

Can anyone help please?  I'm having a hair dilemma!

Thanks
