I think you did Great! If you ever see Goldwell styles they have circular patterns of lil bits of Silver B etc just like the first photo lil more blending. Love those shades.

Hey - Just wanted to update, and say thanks for the help.

I really wasnt worried about the purple washing out, Ive used rinses before and for me they wash out in one wash (o:

I was worried about the brassy hair. What I did is get some light ash, and just "painted" the parts I thought were TOO brassy. I left it on about 10 mins and my hair is perfect now... I'm really happy with it.

Just for other ppl that may be in the same boat, and reading this forum. I am natural dark brown (like a 6). I used Garnier nutrisse 111 White Chocolate color, and I was amazed how much it lifted - I didnt know a box color could lift that much!!! I then used Frost N Glow for the highlights (left in for 55 mins plus the time it took to put it in)... and finally any slivers of hair I thought were ~too~ brassy I used Loreal Preference in ash blonde (9a).
Oh, I DID leave the Garnier on for 60 mins total, and put a bag on my head so the product wouldnt dry out.

I'm not sure if any of this will be of help to someone BUT - thought I would put all the info out there JIC!

Here is my hair today (o: *happy*

Hi,

meant to add since you did this at home, and if you feel washing your hair is not removing the purple tinge, You can use a bleach shampoo.

small amount of bleach powder
30 ml 10 vol developer
30ml warm water
15 ml any shampoo

Mix together and emulsify through root area only for 3 mins,(conditioner after) this will just lift the tinge out. This is only if you feel simple washing your hair isn't removing the purple.

Karen.

I agree with the above comment, it will wash out.
If you cannot wait for it to wash out, i would go to a salon and ask them to sort it for you, they may be able to lift out the blue-ish roots with bleach, with a few foils, it shouldn't take long for the bleach to work, and then they could put a toner on to match with the ends. Otherwise, I'd say in 5-10 washes and it will be washed out. Just be careful not to keep on washing your hair over and over again though to try and get rid of it, or you will strip moisture out of your hair. I suppose you could just scrub away at the root area as to not dry the ends of your hair out, maybe.

Don't worry the purple tinge will wash out, trust me:] The Mink has just grabbed on to the hi lighted area's, maybe left on to long, only needs 3 Min's to tone down any brassy yellow tones. Again it will wash out.

Well - I tired doing a touch up at home, first I colored it with Garnier 111 lightest ash blonde... it went a bit brassy but not horrible, then I did a highlight at the roots only, (to meet up with my old highlights)... the highlights turned a yucky yellow, which makes the brassy blonde even worse... no Im ******* - I feel so sick to my stomach!!!

The rest of my hair (that I didnt do the touch up on) is still all pretty, but my roots are horrible.

In these pics I have added a temp. rinse (fanci full white mink) in an attempt to cancel out the yellows.... it did, but its now purple *sigh*

Can I put a toner at the top, maybe????

OMG - I feel so awful I want to puke!

Please help (o: Thanks

Pics out in sunny daylight, and one in daylight but on shady porch.

OK for some reason it wont let me upload the pics (times out) - so here are links to photobucket - sorry.
