I normally get my hair
highlighted at a salon that uses Goldwell color and its just a one step
thing that doesn't involve a toner. I have moved to a new area and
there are no salons that use goldwell color. Everywhere I've tried here
bleaches the highlights and then puts a toner over my whole head which
gives my natural unhighlighted hair a yellowish/orangish/or reddish
tinge that looks absolutely awful. I like my hair to be very ash-y in
color. I think the colors of highlights and lowlights i usually get are
6N and 7NP. So my two questions are:
1. What should I ask for when looking at potential salons? I don't know enough about hair coloring to ask for what I want.
2. Are there any brands similar to goldwell that do highlighting in a single step that I could check to see if a salon in the area uses?
