Ginnifer Goodwin bob

I had not seen the previews but went to hbo.com and you are right.  It appears this season was shot during the summer before she went to the pixie.  It will be interesting to see how that is worked into the show because she has always had long to very long hair on the show.  I'm sure it will be worked in some way.  I had been figuring she would wear a long wig but I was thinking they would be shooting the season after she had gone to the pixie.   I still don't really care for her very short look but the bob isn't too bad.  

I think the blonde was a wig.  I don't think it had anything to do with her going the gradual route from long hair to a pixie.  I keep thinking she will grow her hair out soon, but so far it's still as short as ever.

One of those faces that doesn't seem to change much whatever the hairstyle.

I would call this a pixie.  She has very little hair left.  Compare to her pictures on Big Love:

Thanks for getting these, Kramer. Wow, that's a really odd style. Not quite a pixie, not quite much more.

I do like that it shows off her eyes and lips, but the style itself looks pretty bland. Maybe styled differently or in different lighting it would improve?

I'd guess she's going stage by stage to a pixie, yes?

Surprisingly, I like it too, though I'd like to see her cut the front down to mach the shorter length in back. Looks awkward to me with that "might just be pulled up in back" setup. But I do think she has the facial structure to pull it off well, looks really cute. She's becoming something of a hair chameleon!

By the way, someone reassure me that this isn't an example of a celeb following Kate Gosselin's style...

The front part of the cut makes it appear that she is wearing a longer style in an updo.  But as the 2nd picture above makes clear, this is a pixie cut.  She has had two major haircuts in 2009.  The first occurred in early Feb. and she went from hair halfway down her back to a just past chin length bob.  She may have had it trimmed once after that but a 2nd major haircut happened sometime between late April and late May.  Here she went from the short bob to the pixie.  The back of her hair is now very short.  It's not a very pretty look but she's obviously adorable and can pull if off.  If she cut the front part of her hair different, I think this would be a much worse style for her.  I would hope she would grow it out some before too long.  

My vote is the long bob--great look IMO.  Not so crazy about the short pixie. 

She got it cut about February 4 or 5, and that was some haircut!
