Can't agree with you on this Bob...I don't know if you have seen the recent Victoria Secret Bra commercial with Ms. Klum?  Well, the hair is about shoulder length, and it is spectacular.

Now with all this said about the hair not cut, it is, by all appearances, shorter than it has ever been, just above her shoulders.  Very cute look when not pulled back!

Her hair looks pulled back.  That Glamour Article is funny, people will believe anything!  Did you see all the sycophantic comments about how "great" the haircut looked?

IMO, she would look good with just about any haircut!
