That isn't bad at all. I do recall seeing her with shorter hair. I think it fits her well.

I think she's had variations on bangs and wavy/curly hair for many years, though this is the shortest version I can recall, and one of the best IMHO.

To see Laura with some great, full, curly/wavy styles, rent "Focus" (with William H. Macy) and "Novocaine" (with Steve Martin).

I'm not sure when Laura Dern went to shorter crumpled hair and bangs, but she's got that look now.
