I'm exactly the same way and I don't even run a website about it. Gwyneth goes for a very casual look except when she's at an affair, so it's understandable she'd let it go straight and not do too much too it most of the time. You're right that it sometimes looks a bit overworked, though. You'd think she'd have the hair care routine down pretty well by now.
I have so many mixed feelings about Gwyenth. Sometimes her hair looks stunning...other times it looks overbleached, too straight, damaged with lots of mid length breakage and overporous. But that's just me.
Sometimes I love her hair...other times...not at all. But then all I look at these days is hair. I told someone the other day a naked person could walk up to me and all I would notice would be there hair. LOL.
That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
Lately Gwyneth Paltrow seems to be sticking to her classic stick straight hairstyle except on the rare times she steps out on the Red Carpet as she does for various Award ceremonies.
One of her favorite hairstyles beside stick straight and just hanging down is with more volume through the roots with loose waves and/or curls.
Shown below is her favorite out-and-about pulled back ponytail.
Some hair experts claim the secret behindher beauty is that she never strays too far from classic hair
styles designed so she always looks great.
Gwyn showed off her trademark super
sleek straight locks at the LA premiere of Iron Man 2 in April of 2012.
Two days later at the 2nd Annual Bent on Learning
Benefit in NYC Gwyneth went for a softer more wavy look.
Some celebrity hair watchers think G looks better with tousled hair because it has more movement, volume and doesn't show some of the broken middle lengths she has probably from breakage from long term bleaching and hair extensions.
Her hair seems shinier and less damaged than when
it’s straight.
Do you think that the breakage is why her hair doesn't look as good as it used to? Or is it her age? Sometimes stick straight hair worn down can drag a face down and make it look old and tired.
Would G look better with a shorter look? Maybe Bra Length instead of waist length?
Thoughts on Gwyneth?

She just doesn't have very good hair for long styles (IMO)...thought the short do she had a loooonnnnggg time ago was best for her.
Why is her hair not good for long styles but is good for short styles? This ought to be good. Based on your definition, here she is looking bad again the next night.
Who has more fun than people?
love it short

Yea, for some reason I've never liked parting my hair right down the middle. Now that I think of it, I dont think I've ever part my hair down the middle. I always part my hair off-center. I tend to part my hair down the left side of the top of my head. But lately I'm feeling like I need a new style!
On other people part down the middle looks good on some. I think it looks good for ppl with straight hair... although I'm not sure about these gwyneth pics. But I agree she always has this hair style it seems.

Amazing that she keeps reverting back to that stick-straight, center-part, one-length style no matter what time passes, trends change, movies she stars in with other styles, etc.
As you probably know, this is totally unappealing to me. Always makes me wince, like someone is slicing the top of her head open.
I saw some clips from the making of Iron Man 2, and as in the first installment, she'll be a redhead with bangs, layers and soft waves. Absolutely love this look on her. Wish she did too!
