when I was younger in grade school some haigh school kids wore them.....I don't remember seeing any adults wearing them.....WWII vets are fewer each year...they are in their 70's and 80's ...ask questions fast.....gooo luck!!

In pics from WWII, you see US airborne troops with mohawk haircuts. I read that this was done as a good luck charm. Does anyone know whose idea this was and if the mohawk was at any point regulation, or if it was optional for each soldier?
