I used to bleach my own foils all the time when my salon just couldn't get me light enough. It's great cause you can lighten where you feel you need it, and it isn't as hard as it looks.

I could see you doing the touch up at the roots easier than the pulling the bleached bits out of your foils making sure none are overlapping & very tiny fine 1/8 slicing weaving etc... how long is your hair? :) I am not saying it can't be done. If you wish to practice use some conditioner HEHE ONLY & see if you are successful seeing everything. I imagine it would be much slower & maybe even done in sections or days....
Another option too is to find other people whom may do EXACTLY what you are looking for!

Has anyone here done their own foils? I go to the salon every 6-8 weeks for highlights. Ususally closer to 8 weeks. I'm in the process of going back to blonde. I'd say right now I'm a dark blonde in some places, light in others, and some hair is still brown, lol!
I'd love to be able to go in with my own foils just to help lighten stuff up. Has anyone done this? Have any tips?
It's so hard going to the salon and paying $125.00 for highlights. Plus tips! I'd eventually like to be able to just go for my roots but that's a whole different story. Blah!!
