Thanks for the information guys, I really appreciate it! I asked my friends if I would look ok in black hair and they all said I'd like good, but my family (older sisters & mother) keep insisting that it will make my skin look darker. I'm going to dye it hair with brown highlights, hehe!! Thanks again! :D

I agree with Kaycee. I think that it all depends on the individual person. If you want to try going with darker hair then I would encourage you to go for it. You can always use a dye that will only last for a couple of shampoos so if you end up hating it there are no worries. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

It depends. I have dark hair, and dark-ish (olive) skin. When I was bigger my Mom hated me with dark hair, said it made me look dark. As I lost weight, and reverted from blonde to dark again, she (and a lot more people) commented on how I suited darker hair, and it didn't make me look dark at all.

I think it's down to pigmentation on skin, skin type, diet etc on how your skin and hair reflect.

Is this true? I was considering coloring my hair black ( I'm a Mexican with brown skin and brown hair) but my mother said it would make my skin look darker????
