Can you have an up-do while wearing taped wefts?

Its harder to do an updo or a high pony with taped wefts. I can do an updo, but its a little easier once the tapes have moved a little bit away from my head. I wear my hair up in a clip frequently.

A mid pony is easy to do.

Hi ladies,
I am getting new wefts this week. The plan at the moment is to wear them as clip-ins but at some stage I am going to try them with Supertape.
Is it possible to tie my hair into a high ponytail with taped wefts? And straighten the hair while it's attached to my head?
 
I find with clip-ins, I have to straighten the hair before I attach it, as I cannot pull on the clip-ins without them coming loose, and I cannot tie it into a high ponytail without the clips becoming loose either, so I'm hoping tape will allow me to do these things. I might also try microlinks to attach the wefts at some stage also.
