I would never recommend that anyone dye human hair extensions. Yes, they are human hair and many think that they can care for them the same as their own hair however this is not the case. Human hair extensions undergo many processes to strip the cuticles, and if you are getting a blonde shade, another process is applied to remove the color. The strands are then coated to make the hair more manageable and silky however after washing and styling the hair, the coating wears off and you are left with this over-processed hair.

You might consider:

1. Order the clip-in extensions in a color that matches your hair better so you don't have to put yet another process on it. You might even try to order a shade that is slightly lighter as well as a shade that is slightly darker to add more depth to your color.
2. Order clip-in extension made of 100% Premium Remy Human Hair as this is a MUCH better quality of hair than just your standard 100% human hair extensions. They also last much longer because they do not tangle.
3. Order some virgin hair if you must color treat it yourself. This way, when you process it, you know the hair had absolutely no prior processes.

We have a few articles about clip-in extensions that your might find informative. Hope it helps!!

I take medication that has thinned my hair out by 50%.  I started wearing the clip-in extensions.  I love that I can buy the light blond and color them to my exact hair color.  I buy the long strings and sew the clips in myself ( the clip-ins they sell always have pieces I don't use, what a waste).  Anyway, I've read a lot of these posts and am a bit confused about what kind of hair is the best.  My real hair is very slightly wavy and won't really hold much a curl.  The extensions I have are from Sally's and they were $80, the most expensive they had (I was told they were the only ones that would take haircolor).  Anyway, like others, I have had a lot of  problems with tangles.  I've tried a lot of different things but nothing really helps much except brushing them out often.

I would like to buy some really good ones if the ones I have aren't really that great.  Any advice appreciated.  I would also like to have any website links where I can purchase them.  Thanks.
