My favorite online stores for Bohyme are hairsisters.com, ebonyline.com, gobunnys, or Sherrie's store for individual handtied weft (versus a whole pack). They are all very reliable sellers and have the best prices.

That is very useful info.  I'm thinking of trying Bohyme for my first install, and if all goes well I'll invest in some russian hair for next time.  Did you buy ur hair from an on-line supplier?  I found one that looks legit...but for such an expensive order I'm feeling wary.

Hey Lostgirl,
Soooo... you need between 4 to 6oz I would say for a whole head. Some would say a bit more, some would say a bit less.
As for russian, some women love this stuff. I have been wearing russian for a few weeks now and i noticed that because the hair strand is thinner, it doesn't like the heat like asian or indian hair do.
It tends to give a lot of breakage soon, but that is only my personal experience so far. & I noticed you mention straight ironing, which I do almost every day too.
The quality hair I keep going back to is Bohyme silky straight.
If you want to do this stuff on your own, at the end of the day you are going to have to search for what works best for you, yourself.
We all have different needs and preferences.
Some women swear by indian remy, I prefer asian because I sport a sleek and straight style.

Okay, after looking at the site more closely I see that 1oz of 21" hair is $185-$244 depending on color.  That does sound expensive...  I don't understand ounces, since I've always bought my hair as pretipped strands.  How many ounces would it take to do a full head?

Is it dumb to buy hand-tied wefts if I'm just going to cut the hair off and make I-tips?

Again, if anyone has bought from this site or another "Russian" dealer, I'd really appreciate your knowledge.

I just discovered this website called russianhairdotnet

They seem to good to be true... Are they?  They charge $175 for 40-50 strands of 21 inch Russian hair.  They claim the hair is double drawn and completley virgin.  They even say you can lighten or color it.

This works out to about $3.50-$4 a strand.  I'm used to paying $8-$10 a strand for Indian hair!  Should Russian hair be this cheap?  pinocchio

Anyone who has bought from this site, or has experience with true Virgin Russian hair...PLEASE let me know what the catch is.

Why would anyone buy Bohyme at $120 if they can get virgin Russian at $175... What am I missing?  Thanks in advance! office
