Colour removers and get as much of the red out as possible, you may need to use the colour removers twice. Then start all over again, with your target shade, dark blonde.

so. it starts about...eh. 4/5 ish months ago when my mother and i go to rite-aid and were looking at hair dye. (i'm a natural blonde btw) i find this really awesome aurburnish color. we buy it, go home, dye my hair, i love it. well about a month ago i decide that i hate it. we go and buy some golden blonde color, dye it, and it fades a bit. not good enough. two weeks ago we dye it a little lighter blonde and it seemed like i was back to my natural, with a couple red tones. i can live with a couple red tones. but sadly it didn't stick and i'm now back to the faded red color.
i KNOW that it's possible to get red to blonde. it's not like i'm a light blonde, or even a medium blonde. i'm a dark ashy blonde, i could probably pass for a light brunette. my mom will not take me to a hair salon as it will cost a fortune. so. how in the heck can i get this light aburn color to a dark blonde? i know that it's not going to be an overnight thing or anything, it'll have to be a process. but where do i start?
