Got a good look at her haircut on the People's Choice Awards Dec.
6. It's definitely quite a bit shorter, just about shoulder
length in front with layers and longer (about 8" below her shoulders)
in back. But even though it seems to be sort of
the same basic style, it just doesn't seem to have as much oomph as her
longer hairstyle.
It's OK, but I liked the longer look better. She and Martina
McBride both seem to be part of a recent trend of going
shorter. In most cases, it's not so much the length itself
that bothers me. Most of these gals would look great in
most any style. The shorter styles seem sort of blah to me
compared to their longer styles.

Cindy, you sound like you could be the producer of makeover day on Tyra's "America's Next Top Model." After seeing stylists hack up gorgeous heads of hair of lovely young models, with Tyra watching with glee, I decided never to watch that show again.
Seriously, do you think someone with Carrie Underwood's beauty would look better with a new look? With short red hair? Really?
Her hair would be absolutely stunning in a short hairstyle that would reveal her glamorous neck and shoulders. A full lower bang touching the eyebrows would look good on her. The blonde hair color looks great on her but I would love to see her in a rich deep red.
She looks good with this short curly hairstyle. I like that it looks simple & easy as supposed to a celebrity-over-the-top, impossible-to-imitate hairstyle.

Carrie had a two-hour special on TV tonight. Her hair was still gloriously long. The way it should be.
Kramer, you are so on the money. The longer hair was glamourous and exotic. This is mildly disappointing, but it does look good for a medium haircut. Singers Amy Lee and Toby Lightman have similarly taken their luxurious manes and chopped them back to average. Maybe I've been spoiled by Crystal Gayle, now nearing age 59, NEVER cutting her magnificent locks. I guess women celebrities like Crystal come once in a lifetime. Bob

This is a SHORTER hairstyle, but it isn't SHORT. It's a very nice mid-length style. And, if seeing a beautiful woman looking exceptionally gorgeous is not worth celebrating, well I don't know what is!

I hope her hair is tucked under some place. Even though I realize Carrie has a head full of extensions, I hate it when you short hair fans celebrate. If you were a football play, you would have been penalized 15 yards for excessive celebration. : D
Yes but were the good guys and the fans/refs love our team, when the long hair team celebrates, it's like watching the Yankees celebrate. You got the majority of the celebrities and every time we "sign" one your team acts like it's a robbery and a crime to leave the powerful long haired "yankees" team.
Hope that made sense, lol.
