To minimize the shininess of synthetic hair, simply shake a bit of baby powder on the hair and shake off any excess. Wink

hello :)
thermofibre is the best synthetic hair to go for, its a mix of synthetic and human hair, it can be curled, straightened, washed and blow dried without melting like your standard synthetic hair...its also very cheep. i got mine from. www.buyhair.co.uk

Futura Eventra is another contender for high heat synthetic fiber. Is it a great alternative to human hair and it can be blow-dried, flat ironed and curled using temperatures up to 300 degrees. The only pitfall is it is not available in longer lengths like human hair.

Please note that all synthetic fibers will initially be very shiny however after a few days, it fades. Futura will maintain/regain its luster when it is flat ironed however it does not go back to being extremely shiny as it is when first installed. Also, for just over about $10, it's a pretty good substitute to human hair.

Hi everyone,
After 2 years of buying the cheapest human hair I am tired of it!
I straighten it in the morning to make it look nice and to blend it with my real hair but if it rains and I have to wear my hood up, the hair frizzes and tangles and looks completely fake. I have to straighten it so much to make it look nice that I had to chop 3 inches off at the ends because they were so split and ratty.

I would like to buy some nice Remy hair but unfortunately I cannot afford it at the moment, but I still want to look nice!

So I am looking at synthetic options.
I like how synthetic hair is generally lighter than human hair and I have heard it keeps a style better too.

The hair I am considering is:

American Dream thermofibre
Dome monofibre
Elite Thermofibre

I have also heard of ProStyles but I have seen before and after photos of it on salon websites and it looks way too shiny.
Same with ShapeShifter, I looked at a video of it on Doctored Locks website and thought it was a bit shiny.
I have seen Dome Monofibre in person and thought that was a little shiny too, however maybe it was just the dim lighting in the salon.

Can anyone recommend what synthetic is best? If you had photos of an install of it that would be AMAZING!!!!

Thanks!
