You should buy a hi-lifting hair dye and some 20 volume peroxide. Since you're naturally strawberry blonde, it's unnecessary for you to use bleach or a stronger volume of peroxide. The hi-lifting hair dye will lift your hair, tone it and color it the shade you want all at once. There are different versions of professional hi-lift hairdyes sold at Sally's Beauty Supply or other beauty supply stores. Please don't use store bought box dye as I can not guarantee the results and these dyes are also much more damaging.

My natural color is a dark strawberry blonde and I have my hair dyed golden blonde. My roots have grown in and I cant afford to go to a salon.

I want to buy some coloring products from a beauty store but not only do I not know what to get, I am afraid of my roots turning brassy because of past experiences with products from grocery stores.

What should I use on my hair to acheive blonde roots? I dont know what do to? Any tips would be greatly appreciated
