Me neither, especially on Cate, who has sharp, angular facial bone structure and could use longer, softer hair to balance it.

It is not my favorite sort of short hairstyle on a female.
There are better styles of short pixies for women than that.
I don't care that much for the real long in front and real short in back combo of hairstyle.

Not sure about the choppy stuff going on in the back but I generally like this look on her. Reminds of her growing out stage after she shaved her head in "Heaven."

She wore it in a pixie, cropped very short in back, for the 2010 Tony Awards.  At first, it looks as though she has just pulled it back, as she did at Cannes, but there are a couple of side shots in which you can clearly see that the back has been cut short.

I kind of like it; it has more style than the medium length 'do she had at Cannes.
