First one is when she looked like growing it out; second is one of the many perverse styles that stopped a grow out taking place.

Before Heidi Collins left CNN in January (unrenewed contract)it looked for a time that she'd grow her hair out, but she never quite made it. Perhaps the following photo was as close as she got. After that, she seemed to get cold feet in the middle of some hair no-man's land.




After this very promising point, she seemed to lack the courage either to cut it or continue growing it out. Consequently, we had to live with monstrosities like the following on our TV screens:





Perhaps her bosses wanted her to get rid of these absurd styles and she never took the hint?
