In fact seen close up, it couldn't look "wiggier". The Twitter picture shows her with longer hair again.

Am I missing something? Didn't she have this style for about a year before deciding to grow it out? It's nothing new.

Overwhelmingly, people seem to love it (as I do).  If it is a wig, maybe she will love it to and actually cut it.

Had a bob, went for full on extensions, then seemed to have finally grown it out and removed the extensions when she cut the bob even shorter than before.
 
Lovebobs rejoice.  I would consider this Chin length. 
 
 
Normally I consider that Katy Perry can do no wrong. Lately I've been really unimpressed with the generic pop of her new music and feel like her image has been equally bland.  Glad to see her do something new.  When she had the bob with bangs I thought she was styled amazing.  Everything she did worked during that period.
