So ive always wanted to grow my hair long, not overly long but similar to this style





The problem is my hair is very thick, as i dont wash it often. Would i be able to go to the hairdressers to get it thinned without cutting it shorter?? My hair is at medium length at the moment here is a picture
(bit of a mess atm)
