Anticonvulsant medications, including Dilantin (TM), are used to
control seizure activity in people with epilepsy and brain cancer, and
those who have suffered head trauma through injury or stroke. Such
medications decrease the activity of vitamin D, resulting in decreased
calcium absorption.
