I guess it would depend on the amount of detail put in. If the hair had to like blow realistically in the wind and move whenever the character moves, that would take time and effort. If it were just a game where the person sits there, like in a salon chair or something, that wouldn't be nearly as hard. There are programs where you can try various hairstyles on your picture already, but they don't move or anything, and honestly they don't look realistic. It's pretty much just pasting a picture of hair over your face. . . gets pretty lame pretty quickly, I know by experience.
Hello Mattel plan to release Barbie fashion 3D computer game, where the player can design various clothes for the doll. There is a virtual 3D catwalk and main street for fashion show on the game.
Is it possible to create similar game with hairstyle?
According to a 3D expert, creating hair for "Final Fantasy" take a lot of computer time (rendering), because the computer have to handle each strand of hair separately. If his opinion is correct, then hairstyle computer game will need an extremely powerful computer. Is this correct?
