I suppose you have done it by now, I hope it came out nice! It sounds really cool. You didn't need to wait, for future reference, for the dye to set. For some hi lift dyes, or for bleach, its good to wait one day between procedures so that your scalp oils can build up a little, they protect your skin from the harsh treatment. But it makes no difference for your hair itself.

Hi everyone. I'm new here and am really excited about this site. I've been online all day today trying to find some answers for my new hair experiment. So I'm a natural blonde but have recently gone to a dark brown (almost black). I've always wanted to put purple through it, like the peek-a-boo effect. Yesterday I finally got the courage and went out and purchased everything. I had to touch up my all over color so i did the dark brown again. Now I'm super-stoked to get started on the purple but i was wondering if i need to wait to let the dark kinda set in. My hair is very strong so im not worried about it breaking off when i do the bleach and then the purple, plus its not going to be my entire hair, just a few chunky strands on the inside. I just want the purple to come out nice and strong and dont want the dark that i just put in reducing the purple pigment. Thanks <3
