I have curly hair a few inches past my shoulders. On the underneath, it sometimes turns into really nice ringlets, but rather unevenly, is a pile of frizz on top. After I condition it, for so many hours afterwards, it's really nice, all perfect and curly. But I can't really condition it every day especially with how long it takes to dry, unless I get a good leave in conditioner.

I'm considering cutting it short but I'd like to have long hair. I dye my hair bright red from black which causes some damage, however the underneath of my hair seems to be fine even though it's bleached and dyed all around. I do have some loose hairs on top, maybe they snapped off from overlap I'm not sure. I did get some layers a while back so I always presumed it was that, I might have had some hairs trimmed very short.

I might dye it black and grow it out, cutting it short when the virgin hair gets to that length(it's much better getting it cut short the longer it is, I had most of my hair chopped off, from breast length to jaw length once and it was amazing), I'm tempted by black hair but at the same time it looks quite sullen, I like red hair and it suits me and my eyes. It would be nice to go for a tinted dark colour, like blue-black or very dark purple, or dark red. I saw someone with dark reddish brown and it was very nice, it had a similar effect to black without being as dull.

If I had straight hair I'd probably be more interested in black maybe, though I like the 80s goth look of big black curls(which makes the frizz acceptable too). But if I have it big, I'm not sure to have it short so I can fluff it out all along my head, or long so it can spread out.
