I'm new to this site, as i am desperately trying to find the right type of extensions. Hopefully someone can help!
I've had extensions for almost three years now and have tried a few different types (all professionally done). I started with the sewn-in extensions... they did not even last 3 weeks, as the tracks dropped (possibly because my hair is thin). After this, I tried the extensions that are secured with a small bead... they lasted one week, as my hair slipped out. I then tried hot fusion (not sure of the name of the hair type because the salon purchased it and they supply only 1 type) and it lasted 4 months! :) I was so happy with those results. When I went again to the same salon to get the same hair extensions some time later, they didnt last 1 month as they were constantly knotted, matted, and falling out. A few months later, I went to a different salon that requires you to purchase your own hair online/in store. I tried the Sally Beauty Supply extensions. They looked great for a few weeks then thinned out and slipped out after 1.5 months. Tried it a second time... same results. I then ordered Lord & Cliff Crystal Fusion hair extensions and hoped for the best. They looked nice at first, but then became dry, brittle, thinned out, and began to slip after 1.5 months. This brand was thicker and smoother hair in the beginning but became like straw quickly. I tried that brand a second time, this time, when I purchased the Lord & Cliff hair extensions, I also ordered their hair products (shampoo and conditioner) figuring it was my products that was ruining the hair (I use Paul Mitchell, Vavoom, Biogenol, etc). Same results... 1.5 months and it looks like straw and brittle... thinning out.

Unfortunately, I cannot afford the "higher end" hair extensions that most salons offer. I am looking to purchase good quality fusion bonded hair so that my stylist can put them in for me. Can ANYONE recommend a type of extension that I can purchase online or in a store that is reasonably priced and is thick, shiny, will last more than a month?   PLEASE HELP!
