Because you're not going much lighter than what you already have, I'd say not to strip the color. But if you use 30 volume it will have more lifting power to deposit the color you want cause your natural hair is so dark. Also cause your hair is thick you'll need 2 bottles.

A month ago, I colored my reddish-brown (it's naturally black) and because I was in a rush, I only did the process for 30 mins, (I normally do a little less than an hour since my hair is very thick). So, at the end, my hair looked darker than the usual result I get. I have waited a month to re-color it but I was reading about hair color removers and now I am a little hesitant to just go ahead and re-color my hair.
Should I just apply the hair dye on top of my badly colored hair? Or should I use a hair color remover first and then apply the hair color from a scratch? I would like to just apply the hair color, I would save money of course, but if it's something that's not gonna work AT ALL, I would like to know.
Thanks for reading, please please please help me with this!
