Hi SkyBrie8
Actually the halo extension method has been around a really, really long time. I've never seen it with wire, but mostly fishing line is what is used.
If you can not wear any other type of extension this is definitely something to look into.
As you said, you can't move around too much or it will slip.
It is low maintenance and needs to come off at night for sleep. You will also need to check it occasionally to make sure it's sitting in the right place.
I have seen it for sale with clip in extensions for the lower wefts and the halo for the top weft.
It is worth a try, just don't do any cartwheels.
Most of the ladies who have had success without any hair loss use a tape method. Maybe one of them can chime in with more information. Or, you can do a search for tape in extensions.
I have taken a break from extensions for the past few years in an effort to grow my natural hair after some damage from extentions (fusion / microlinks / skin wefts) but dearly miss my think long hair that I had when I had extensions.... so I was talking to my stylist about it last night and she showed me a product called Halo Couture Extensions - anyone heard of them?
Its basically a group of wefts attached to a lace piece that sits on the back of your head... then there is a thin clear wire that holds it in the front.... She put it on me and it seemed to work great as long as I wasnt doing cartwheeels.
I ran a search on here and didnt find anything about it - my stylist said she found the supplier in July and it is still new - but you girls know about everything and anything so I thought I would ask for your opinions before buying it. You can google the company name if you want a visual of it.
