Henna can offer both positive and negative results.  There are a lot of variable to consider.  Yes you are correct, henna does cover the hair shaft and can permanently alter your hair.  So it's good to do your homework up front.
That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)

Has anyone here tried Nupur 100% Natural Mehendi?

Supposedly it's packed with 9 Herbs i.e. Brahmi, Shikakai, Aloe Vera, Methi, Bhringraj, Amla, Neem, Hibiscus, Jatamansi.

The scoop on this product supposedly is that it gives soft, shiny and silky hair.  The downside is that applying henna takes a long time.  Also, I've heard that henna can permanently alter your hair.  Is this true?

Has anyone tried this henna? If so, what were your results? Did it help your hair or hurt your hair?
