Thanks for taking the time to share this info Emelone. I have heard of similar problems with the micro links before. It's good to know that your stylist was able to untangle everything for you. It's also good for people to know some of the challenges to expect with micro links, crimp beads and the various tips so that you can be prepared and possibly prevent them as much as possible.
That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
I have the same extensions and I know it is been a year since this post, but...the matting is because of the joints. I just went back to my stylist and she untangled my hair in about 10 minutes. I asked if I would have the same problem with the crimp bead style. She told me that because you can't brush down to the scalp that it is a common problem with crimp bead, I tip and U tip extentions. Ask your stylist if she will take time to help you detangle. Hope this info helps!
Hi everyone! I am new here....I have very fine and thin hair (always have, always will)... so I had fusion tip extensions put in about a month ago. I had 150 put in (Satin Strands remy i-tip....Isla Vista color and Sedona color). I didn't have any problems until this past week. They were sliding down a bit and my hair between my scalp and extension was getting REALLY matted. So, I took them out and found micro link extensions!
However....I don't want to use Satin Strands brand again but I can't figure out what "color" Isla Vista and Sedona is in other more quality remy brands (i-tipped).
