hi guys! I am clueless with hair! Mine is roughly the length of the girl in the pictures below but never have any idea what to do with it.

Do any of you care to offer up advice as to how to achieve great curls like this? I can see she used a curling iron on her hair but are there any specific techniques or tips to go about obtaining it?
