A proffessional is tought that it is not recommended to put in hair extensions on someone who has been pregnant, they have to wait 4 months after or more. This due to the changes in your body and you could loose more hair. Also if you hair is already weak, the added stress and weight of hair extensions couldbe bad for your natural hair.
I would be careful. Extensions are going to put some extra weight on the hair. If you are having issues with it falling out, you may want to try wigs, or clip ins so that you are not having constant pull on your hair.
So sorry if this has been posted a million times... I'm pregnant (first and LAST time) and my hair is falling out. I had thin hair to begin with, but some length and an okay amount of it where it wasn't so noticeable. It's been shedding a good amount of strands daily for weeks now. My Dr. said it's not "normal" per say, but indeed common for some women and may continue the entire pregnancy and some post.
I'm looking in to getting extensions and was wondering if anyone had advice who has either been in this situation or worked with girls in these shoes. The girl I'm going to see for a consultation uses the microbead/tube things?!?! (please forgive my ignorance, I'm trying to give myself a crash course on extensions and terminology). Just wondering if anyone could advise their thoughts or some helpful questions to ask during my appt.
