I was a heavy smoker for years. I still had really healthy-looking long, shiny hair -- that smelled like smoke. I am much more concerned about what it does to the rest of the body. Damaged hair follicles can't kill you, but damaged lungs can.

P.S. Cancer (& chemo) certainly aren't good for your hair either.

Sorry if I sound preachy, but smoking is so bad for you.

what are the effects of smoking on your hair? not just the smoke externally on your hair, but can it affect the folicles internally too?
