Kate's hair changeup is down to her role in The Reluctant Fundamentalist, a serious project in need of serious hair, which follows the life changes of a Pakistani Wall Street worker in the wake of 9/11.
 
I just hope she can transition back to blonde without probs since she went so dark and sometimes really dark hair will stain.  Always like her best as blonde.  Curious she didn't go with a wig.
That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)

She should have stayed blonde and went for a short style.

It's got to be for a movie but why? Why couldn't she be blonde? I don't understand these decisions directors make sometimes.
