how to get waves in a ponytail

I suspect no one knows the answer to your question.  There are actually a lot of people who lurk here but not so many answer.  They don't want to provide wrong info.

It might help to post more about your current hair.  Is it naturally curly or wavy or is it straight?  How long is your hair?  Trying posting that info and it might get you some responses.
