Really? I don't see any appeal in this length and style. It seems as bland as bland gets. Can someone explain?
My "Wow" was not a "Wow" as in "Wow, she looks better than ever before", but as in "Wow, I didn't think she'd do that".
That said, I couldn't agree less with your "bland as bland gets". That bob -- especially as seen in HAWG's picture -- is *far* from bland. But I can understand how someone with your choice of username could see that differently.
The shorter hair a woman has the more it draws the eyes to her face. When a woman has as beautiful a face as Laura has, the shorter haircut looks more flattering.
The haircut isn't exceptional, unless you find bobs very flattering. A friend of mine just donated her hair and posted a similar bob on Facebook. She looks beautiful also, but she has also has a pretty face.

Jerky Flea makes some important points, as does texdillo.
Certainly her beauty could go with any haircut and still look great...so I vote for her to go with a chin length bob!

I've looked at all the pics. Not saying the first ones are bad at all. This current look is flattering... even if I crop it to a head shot. I don't find anything boring or drab about it.

Yes, JerkyFlea, because if the same "average woman" gets the June style it will transform her total appearance because it is a far superior hair style. Nothing about the bob on her looks drab or ordinary. It looks well cut and styled and is flattering on her.
Again, this is one of those styles that I feel folks mistakenly think is fantastic simply because the woman wearing it is staggeringly attractive. The average woman gets this style and she simply has a shoulder length bob - the follicular version of "mom jeans".
And, if you think this is a better look for her than the "June" pic I originally posted to start this thread, then I believe we shall rarely see eye-to-eye in this realm of hair reviews.

No Hollywood actress will keep her hair that long, as it's a limiting look that wouldn't fit most roles. The ideal length for an actress is any length where you can put in extensions. Chances are if she gets three or four parts, at least one will want her hair shorter.
Some actresses do wear wigs, but extensions always look better and you don't have to worry about the hair fitting under the wig. No actress wants to make the hairstylist's job harder and she certainly doesn't want the director to feel like her hair isn't right.

At least she's still wearing it at a "long" length. I rather like the look. I suspect as she moves to more mature roles, she wishes to look a bit older. Sadly, very long hair tends to be considered a child/teen thing in our society by and large. I wish that wasn't so.
