Shorter and not better. And I'm not a fan of hats. These photos were taken in Paris. I don't see any of her young fans having a similar hairstyle. Of course, Carly Rae is a lot older than many of them.

I guess we don't agree on the color choice, Mike.  I like Carly -- just like her better with more naturally looking dark hair.

I really think she is cute but the bangs are too long and the hair is too long also...you can take a good thing too far...as she did.  I also think the bangs should be around eyebrow level

I love bangs but something about this is weirdly extreme to me. Kind of makes the top of her head look like a dome or helmet. That can't be good. Same thing with Jessica Biel's bangs.

Is there a name for this specific type of bangs and/or cut?

Personally I love bangs on almost every woman, but cut a bit higher (around the eyebrows) and broken up or sideswept.
