It was great because it was fluffier, like I've been advocating. I'd suggest that she let her hair grow longer as well, but you wouldn't think that was great either and I don't want to make you sad or critical.

Well on her tonight show appearance, it did look like she had more of a side part (which may or may not have affected the look) and it did look better (I'm not sure I would go as far as "great"...I just think there has to be a better style for her. I am not sure what, but something else

Savannah Guthrie is on Jay Leno's "Tonight Show" right now! Her hair looks great. She needs to steal Jay's hairstyle people and take them to the "Today Show." Jay is losing that show soon anyway.

I understand the logic here, but I suspect that hair changes -- unless they're high-profile, on-camera moves like cutting off long hair for a charity donation -- are never motivated by ratings. I just don't see morning show producers seeing minor hair changes as a response to ratings issues.
More likely, she went in for a trim and her stylist either did it by accident, intentionally without telling her, or asked her and she agreed on impulse. She's not a hair icon (or even much of a celebrity) and I doubt she thought it would matter much to anyone beyond us. (She might be right!)
Anyway, whatever the cause, I hope she tries another version soon...

Rating are down right. So a new do might make them go up? Or just time to try a new look?

Yet another cut where they kept all the blandest aspects and cut the part that made it at least a little bit interesting. I just don't get this. Being below the shoulders was about all this style had going for it before. What's the point?

Instead of going shorter, Savannah should have gone poofier. She needs volume. Not sure how some people view this as an improvement. She isn't getting enough for the money out of her "hair people."
