Of course without being able to see your hair as to the texture and density I am shooting in the dark, but assuming it is virgin hair(not colored/bleached or previously permed, find a good salon who uses Redken perms and request them to use a "Vector Plus perm with "Perm Lock" if your type of hair is suitable for it. This will give a long lasting soft perm that can be shampooed immediately after the perm with no after perm odors and a soft curl that does not look like an 'old fashioned perm' with even curl from top to bottom with a form in between a spiral and a croquinole wrap. If I can be of any further assistance please email me at wrb@gorilla.net for a personal reply.

I've had long straight hair (about 2 inches below my shoulders) with bangs for about 2 years now which I do love but I have been thinking about having it permed. I don't want too much off the length or have short layers cut into it. Is it possible to have a perm that is one length and just wavy so that I can blow dry it straight if I want. Any suggestions on the kind of style that would fit the above description.
