So what do you make of this? Of course, a few months ago, parts of Amanda Bynes' head were shaved. So is this the longest parts of her hair covering the shaved parts? Is it extensions? Is it both?

Her hair seems like it is too long to correspond with the earlier pics of her buzzcut...if my math is correct it has been about 7 months which would be about a 3 - 4 inch growth. Doesn't seem like it should be long enough to pull back.

www.tmz.com has new pics of Amanda and her newest mugshot. It's not a good pic, but you can clearly see she has a brunette buzz/pixie thing going on. She doesn't look too happy either. LOL

Maybe she is just doing what so many young women do, trying new or different hairstyles.

It doesn't necessarily mean there is anything wrong with her.
Is every young woman who tries a new or eccentric style "crying for help"?
I doubt that.

Trying new styles is part of being young for many people.
And many young women are trying that particular style, including several famous women.

Very silly to judge a person by their hairstyle.

I think Amanda's having a tougher time than most getting through her 20s. I suspect she's got a few embarrassing years ahead of her before she gets it together. On the upside, though, we get some interesting hairstyles to talk about.
