I think that the pixie doesn't work on her. The wavy bob is nice; with the long hair she could fuel a jet plane across the Atlantic by harnessing excess male hormone production.

Klaatu, for "The Ballad of Jack and Rose" it was cut very short mostly on screen
Yes, the movie I was referring to was filmed after that, when her hair had grown out a few inches...The Chumscrubber, it was called (finally looked it up).

I've been wondering if she'd ever return to a shorter look. There was one movie in which she had it shortish -- ChumScraper? something like that... -- and I thought it looked amazing. I think short, without being too short, suits her very well. (Although her hair is gorgeous, it makes her features a little too severe when it's all long and one length.)

Agreed. This works so well because her hair is wavy and the cut appears to be choppy at the ends, not a straight blunt bob. Of course this cut might not look as great when she isn't visiting the salon right before the red carpet.
So, I've stated that the bob is one of my least favorite hairstyles in that I really believe it is only very flattering on very few.
That said, this looks fantastic. I think part of key is the wavy fullness of it versus the flatironed, smooth to the head styling that seems to be ubiquitous when women get this cut. As long as she sticks with some version of this styling, Camilla has definitely hit upon a look.
And if anything inspires copycat bobs, this should versus the extrordinarily bland Karlie Kloss version.
