Sandra Jane, I say go for it totally you only live once.Maybe not way short, adjust to what u decide and maybe shorter later, but it will grow back. maybe shoulder lenght first and get over inittil shock with lots of layers and decide from there. good luck Heidi

Your hair sounds so beautiful, I think it is kind of a shame that you want to cut it off. I just hope that you really think about it before you rush in and do something you might regret later. It takes a very long time to grow hair as wonderfully long as your is back again. I wish you`d change your mind about cutting your hair, but I guess you`ve already made your mind up.
I would hate it that short, it looks if I do get it cut I`ll start with an undershave and then get an inverted bob and shaved nape with a bit of a difference.
I am sorry - I got my nose ring last weekend, I love all my piercings! I am not used to wearing clothes like that but maybe as part of my change...
I would NOT go for the nose ring and leave the naval ring up to you. I really like girls with your type of round face to have pixie cuts, i even posted about that on the board.Go for a cute pixie and maybe some hot mini skirts with heels and you will be a babydoll.

Here is my two cents worth. Go to the Gallery and put in style #`s: 3830, 4559, 5491 and 5909. Skip the nose ring - they always look like you have a "bugger"

How about cutting it to just below your shoulders and cut in layered bangs. You would still be able to do alot with it, because it would still be long.
I have visited these boards occasionally and thought I`d for once use them!
I have just come out of a relationship and am looking for a big change in my appearance. I am bored with my long straight hair and want a style which is individual and different. It is something I have set my heart on doing for some time, which probably explains why we split up.
I am 23, 5 feet 6 and average/slim in build with a fairly round face. My hair is dark brown, just above my butt and I do not have bangs.
If anyone would like to give me some ideas of how the`d like me to have my hair I`d love to hear from them. I do have some ideas but love the input of others. As part of my change I intend getting new and exciting clothes and maybe if I get the courage a nose ring and navel ring as they seem in at the moment.
