I know I`m late with this, but for future reference, check out the SETTING TECHNIQUES section at Marci`s Retro Style site. It has a very good discussion of how to do rag curlers. I have used this technique in the past with very good results.
It depends how long her hair is. If it`s long like mine than I`m not sure if you can curl it with a hot iron. try taking each piece seperately, putting gel on that piece, than wrap that piece around a foam curler and leave over night. in the morning tak them out but DO NOT BRUSH them. My daughter wants ringlets like shirly temple or the little princess how long does her hair need to be and how do I achive tis without a hot iorn prefferbley is rag rooling and option and how do you do it right. I tried it once and it came out kinkey curled.
