Figure skating for Canada is very serious.
Yes buns do make statements but come on you don`t really know her personality that has nothing to do with the bun. With the bun on the ice with her skates sure it was grace.

Or take Irina Slytskaya. She came in a solid second - what a performance - and her hair is short. This may be an amusing topic, but Mr. Lynch, speak up for yourself. Do you have a prejudice against women with short hair?
I was happy to see Michelle Kwan win the Women`s Figure Skating competition at the Olympics. Michelle has long hair and wears it in a bun. Michelle achieved a perfect bun and a perfect score. A bun is the hairstyle for the achieving woman because it symbolizes concentration to get a result. A woman`s hairstyle makes a statement about her. In Michelle Kwan`s case, the statement is that of a winner. She sets a great example for women all over the world. How much better place the world would be with more women like her!
