I never colored my hair before,i have dark brown hair and want it black, anyways i was wondering if coloring my hair will affect my hair growth. Can anyone help me out?
Very weird. This is EXACTLY what I was gonna write, more adding a question of: I've seen a black non-permanent (15-20 washes) and I was wondering if all of the colour would wash out. My hair's in pretty good nick, but I have been considering going black permanently and touching up roots for many years to come, because since I was 4 I've wanted black hair. I'm fairly sure it's not just a phase.
You left out perhaps the worst part of dying one's hair: the growing out time when all the ugly freakin' roots are showing. Why women dye their hair is beyond me. Oh, I know, there are the "I look sexier" reasons and all that, but really, why not go with the gorgeous color God blessed you with?
No, coloring your hair shouldn't affect your hair growth....but it isn't always that great for your hairs condtion. Make sure you keep it conditioned after coloring to keep in its natural softness and shine. Although coloring isn't as harmful as bleaching...it can still give a persons hair a fried look if your hair is already damaged.
