Quick... alert the Carlton Sheets disciples in Kansas... Arch is desperate to sell, and his house might be available for purchase at below-market price. Plus, Kansas is becoming more long-hair friendly. What's not to like about this?

Nice article! I can't believe they ever thought short hair made them look younger by being "uplifting". Everyone I've ever seen go from long to short aged 10 or more years in a matter of minutes, then as it grew back long, they began to look younger again!

People can disagree, but the day I had to have my hair cut short all the cashiers stopped asking for my ID when I bought beer, and just glanced at my face instead. (Ooo that hurt!).

Susan, I have seen a few women who looked younger after a major haircut, but not many. That must have been rather disquieting for you to no longer be carded. Glad you're on the grow! (P.S. I've been meaning to tell you that *all* your pictures were stupendous! The different colors all looked very cool.)

It's just a message we hear over and over again. It's hard not to be unaffected, unless you're a social misfit...er, rugged individualist, of course.

Another reason Kansas became even more appealing is that the notorious "BTK" killer was apprehended. Kansas... getting better all the time.
