I have weird Hair. Its flat instead of round. Is that normal? Probably cause im Filipino, Spanish and Chinese (wierd mixes). Cause I want to grow it out down to 5 or 6 inches. I ussually just bring my hair forward and spike the front. The sides and the back are the shortest parts of my hair and since im growing it out long it is pretty much uncontrollable and it wont go down! It grows outward and makes me look weird. Not sure what im gonna do with it but it seems like I cant control the sides. I need some kind of shampoo recomendation or something.
So far the top is about 3 inches and sides are probably less than an inch. I mostly gel it when its short but I want to change that.

Well there are two ways to solve your problems. You can either just be patience and just let it grow, because after 5 inches or something your hair will go down. Just keep combing your hair the way you want it to be when it is long. With time it will become what you wish it will become. Just wear a cap or something to cover the hair if you are embarrassed by it. You can also try to relax the hair, so that it would soften the hair, so that the hair will stay down. Good Luck.
